New Child and Adolescent Program at QBH
“A deeper appreciation of children’s emotions can offer parents better solutions to the problems in their lives”.
Kenneth Barish, PH.D.
It has long been a goal and mission of the company to develop a comprehensive program dedicated to providing
Quality Behavioral Health to children and their families, working in collaboration with pediatric practices, school systems, and other supporting agencies to improve the health and well being of all under our care.
It is with excitement and pride that after years spent building a specialized and dedicated medical team, we announce the realization of our dreams.
Raising children in a contemporary American society may be more emotionally difficult than ever.
This new program, developed under the guidance of pediatricians, psychologists, mental health counselors, social workers, teachers, and parents, helps parents and caregivers understand children’s emotions, leading to a more effective approach to parenting and to strengthening family relationships.
Of course, many children exhibiting symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity, anxiety, and depression will also benefit from behavioral assessment and medical management. Specialized support is offered to children with neurodevelopmental disorders. In order to address such matters QBH has assembled a team of dedicated behavioral specialists, including a Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrician, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Licensed Mental Health Counselors, and a Certified Care Coordinator.
With this dedicated team we are able to provide easy and efficient access to medical management and counseling for both children and their families in addition to parent counseling and training.
Nutritional Consultation is available with a Registered Dietician and Nutritionist.
Yoga Instruction is free for children on Saturdays.
