Licensed Mental Health Counselor Employment Opportunity
Quality Behavioral Health, a progressive outpatient psychiatric and psychotherapeutic group in Warwick, RI, is seeking to add Licensed Mental Health Counselors and Licensed Clinical Social Workers to its staff.
A dramatic increase in patient referrals, a Pediatric Program headed by a Developmental /Behavioral Pediatrician, and the development of a new Integrated Medical and Lifestyle Program requires additional staff, and we are hoping to draw upon the skills and experience of LMHC’s and LICSW’s to meet this need. As a member of the Lifestyle Team you will collaborate with psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, nutritionists and clinical therapists to promote and encourage Lifestyle Change. Training will be provided to add to your skills and interest in Integrated Medicine, incorporating Lifestyle Management Strategies into your practice. An opportunity is also now available for a native speaker of Spanish to join the team of Maria Gonzalez, MD, who recently joined us.
QBH provides psychiatric services, medical management and counseling to approximately 1,600 patients weekly, treating children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples experiencing a wide range of mental and emotional disorders. The focus of treatment is on the overall well-being of patients and includes nutritional consultation and healthy lifestyle support. Services are provided by a staff of Board-Certified Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrists, Developmental Pediatricians, prescribing Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, Licensed Mental Health Counselors, and Licensed Social Workers using evidence-based therapeutic models. The large number of providers, prompt access to treatment, the centrally located facility, and the on-site availability of a full-service specialized pharmacy ensure a steady flow of clients.
Specialized Care Coordinators support patients in addressing the many social, medical and environmental factors that effect overall well-being.
Mental Health Counselors joining QBH will focus on psychiatric diagnoses, including differential diagnosis of mental health disorders and on both psychotherapeutic and lifestyle strategies into treatment for these disorders. They will work collaboratively with QBH staff and in partnership with outside providers of medical and therapeutic services to ensure comprehensive and integrated treatment.
